Minority representation in healthcare is extraordinarily low, and this is a consequence of many factors including systemic and historical inequities. The Coronavirus pandemic has highlight these inequities, and changing minority and underserved community outcomes. requires investment. But, you can play a pivotal role in making the healthcare industry more equitable. Contact us to make a difference and improve health outcomes.
How can I improve health outcomes in my community?
There are many ways you can contribute to improving health outcomes in your community. One proactive way you can do so is by advocating for diverse representation in clinical trials. Minorities are often underrepresented in clinical trials. This is a byproduct of many factors, including warranted historical mistrust and inequities in access to information. You can play a proactive role in changing this reality and improving health outcomes in your community by volunteering to be a paid participant in a clinical trial.
What is a clinical trial?
Clinical trials are done when there is good reason to believe that a new treatment may improve care of patients. Before a treatment is ready for clinical trials extensive preclinical studies are performed. Not all clinical trials involve oral medications or vaccines some trials test devices or wearables.
Why is this a valuable use of my time?
Inclusive clinical trials is our priority and representation matters. Your participation in clinical trials is critical to improving health outcomes in our community, and ensuring adequate representation of the communities who will benefit from new treatments.
